Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex space missions under ESA supervision, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Lead a consortium of companies, fostering effective relationships and communication among diverse stakeholders.
- Employ both traditional project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2) and agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to facilitate efficient project execution and delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to proactively manage project challenges.
- Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and presentations to engage team members and stakeholders, providing clarity and direction.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers, strengthening project management expertise within the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; (Master’s degree is preferred).
- 5+ years of project management experience, with significant exposure to the space, aviation, or automotive sectors.
- Proven track record of leading multisector consortium projects, particularly in the context of space initiatives.
- Deep understanding of ECSS standards and their application to project management processes.
- Familiarity with both traditional project management methodologies and agile methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Ability to navigate complex project environments and foster collaboration among diverse groups.
