With the new year, a new phase begins for the Czech Aerospace Research Centre (VZLU). The institution, with a tradition of more than 100 years, will change its name to VZLU AEROSPACE starting January 1, 2025.
The new name better reflects the company’s activities, which include the space sector, while also strengthening the international identity of the brand. “Our ambition is to be clearer at home and abroad. The name VZLU AEROSPACE better captures the breadth of our activities and simultaneously meets the language needs of international collaboration,” said the Chairman of the Board and General Director, Josef Kašpar.
This change will not affect the company’s current activities. Its legal identity, identification number (IČO), and headquarters will remain unchanged.
With this step, the company reaffirms its commitment to being one of the leaders in science, research, and technological innovation in the aviation and space industries. For over a century, it has been a key partner for the aviation industry, and in recent years, its activities have significantly expanded into the space sector. The name change also highlights the company’s ambition to expand its reach and influence not only in the Czech market but also globally, where it is increasingly establishing a presence.
