Project Title: Full Fairing for Main Rotor Head of the LifeRCraft demonstrator (LATTE)
Project Description:
The project is focused on the development and production of a composite structure of the main rotor head cowling for the high-speed helicopter of AIRBUS Helicopters based on the previous helicopter demonstrator X3, built under the CS29 regulation base. The project deliver the cowling part ready for ground and flight tests of the helicopter prototype called RACER.
The project is led by the Polish research institute ILOT based in Warsaw. An important role in the project is played by the Czech manufacturer of aircraft composite parts, LA Composite based in Prague.
VZLU will participate in the design, strength calculations, material and functional tests of the cowling. VZLU provides geometric models of production jigs (tools).
The LATTE European project belongs to the joint technology initiative JTI Clean Sky Joint 2.
